Although Accelero offers a range of evidence-based, experience-driven guides, we understand that theory is nothing without practice. As such, we have developed a range of interactive tools and online applications to help students develop their practical skills.
Currently available applications include:
Being a strong speaker is a skill that is important at every stage of life, whether at a school debating competition or a work presentation; giving your students the opportunity to receive feedback on their speech quality will help set them up for a successful future. Students speak for up to two minutes on a topic of their choice. The software will then analyse the audio for deficiencies in common fluency metrics, such as the use of filler words (i.e. umm, like, yeah), long pauses, and lack of variety in vocabulary to name just a few. The feedback is then presented to the student alongside actionable next steps to help develop upon the provided feedback.
To accompany our debate guide, we have developed the Debate Dojo. Users are presented with an argument, and are then given a limited amount of time to identify the leading issue with that argument. This helps to equip students with the argumentative agility necessary to respond to arguments during real-time debates.
We have interactive material available to help your students prepare for university admissions tests (such as the LNAT, UCAT, TMUA and STEP).
